Laura, aka Trixie Valour, began her career 23 years ago as an ice skater with Holiday On Ice, touring internationally. After returning home, she trained with Glamour L'Amour and joined Glitter Box Burlesque in 2013. Inspired by her magician husband, she blended magic with burlesque for unique performances.
Trixie has performed widely, participated in troupes and festivals, and led workshops. She now teaches burlesque classes in Dorset, Devon, and Somerset, offering fun, themed classes that help students discover their alter egos through props like chairs, boas, and fans.

Axminster Classes:
For new comers, first class is £5, after the first class and if you would like to continue then classes are paid in monthly blocks working out at £8 a class. However at the beginning of each block if there are any classes that you know of at the start of your block that you can't attend then this will be deducted from your block. Giving you a bit of flexibility. If you miss a class that you have booked onto this class is forfeited. There is a pay as you go option at £10.50 a session.

These classes are free for members or £7.95 pay as you go.

He has performed for nearly 2 decades and has countless performances under his belt. We hope you can join us in July on the 11th, 12th, 13th 2025 for our 16th year at Lighthouse.
Our Field of Dreams transformed into an Oasis of Healing, Fun, Friendship and Community in the warm summer sunshine as ever more people found their way through our gates. One thing that stands out amongst many others, is the way The Healing Weekend has truly captured the heart of people of all ages - from all walks of life. Long may it continue to set an example of just how amazing life can be when people gather to learn, share, rest and play amongst many others, all of whom are seeking to make their own lives, and the lives of families, friends and communities, just that little bit happier, healthier and meaningful.

CHARACTER BUILDING

In this workshop on character building in burlesque, Trixie Valour will guide participants through the process of crafting a captivating alter ego for the stage.
Drawing on her extensive experience, Trixie will help performers explore different personas, unlocking the power of self-expression, confidence, and storytelling through movement, costume, and attitude.
By the end of the session, each participant will have an idea of their vision of their unique burlesque character, ready to dazzle and engage their audience with a fully realized stage persona.
Remember this is for fun, and lets see where your inner self will take you.
